Pioneer photographer Man Ray will be showing at the Kunstforum Wien in Vienna, Austria. Man Ray is known for his photography and his rayographs from the 1920’s that were produced without the use of a camera. Man Ray was a multifaceted artist, which lead him to paint, draw, design, create films, write, and typography. The exhibition at the Kunstforum will be dedicated to “ The Universal Man Ray” and critically addresses how his work waxed and wained through his career. The exhibition will house 150 key works from all over the world, including works from painting, photography, objects, works on paper, collages, and experimental film. This collection will help map out the inner working of the enigmatic and complex artist’s personality who paved the way for modern and contemporary art.
Find Man Ray at the Kunstform Wien from 14 February to 25 June.
