Calvin Klein is releasing its new line of jeans and underwear, and Mario Sorrenti is shooting the advertisements. He is shooting an unlikely group of young stars, known from the music industry, Youtube, and social media – like Billie Eilish and Troye Sivan, both found their start in Youtube and broke out into other industries. While Kendall Jenner, who just joined the line-up is more entertainment royalty than a rags to riches story, she too represents a strong personality for young people. It seems that Calvin Klein is trying to market towards the internet generation and tap into new niches. The campaign is entitled I SPEAK MY TRUTH #MYCALVINS, which is all about showing this young generation of artists and musicians in their own light – true to who they are.
