    Through a Different Lens.

More than 120 photos by Stanley Kubrick exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York.

Stanley Kubrick was just 17 when he sold his first photograph to the pictorial magazine Look in 1945.
Since the Look magazine has compiled an impressive collection from it’s archive containing 129 photography assignments and over 12,000 negatives made by arguably one of the greatest director of all time. These pictures were taken during his 5 years as a staff photographer for the magazine. They paint a vivid picture of his native city, depicting the pulse and pathos of the inner and outer world of New Yorkers navigating a chaotically exhilarating urban landscape. The Museum of the City of New York will exhibit 120 photos selected in the Magazine archives. Definitely a must see for anyone interested in the early and formative work of a cinematic legend. It portrays beautifully the phases Kubrick went through before reaching ultimate fame as a controversial film director.
