What is British Identity? Two new exhibitions investigate.
The Somerset House, a very large art space in the UK, has announced two new shows for 2019. The show are said to revolve around the question of British identity and its historical roots and contemporary manifestations. The shows will feature work by over 100 artists showcasing mediums ranging from photography, literature, film and many more. The first show will be curated by Zak Ové who spend significant time of his artistic years exploring black creativity in the UK. The second show comes in the form of Kaleidoscope and will focus predominantly on the photographic medium and its representations of British multiculturalism.
