    The Great Wave .

Katsushika Hokusai’s lifetime of work will be on exhibition at the British Museum in London.

Katsushika Hokusai is known as Japans most famous and influential artist. His Great Wave piece can be seen all over the world from personal prints in homes or used as inspiration murals tattoos and art in general.
Hokusai had produced work right up until his death at the age of 90, and this exhibition will give viewers insight to the last 30 years of his life, where some of his most popular works have come from. The exhibition will also include prints, paintings, illustrated books that depict his imagination and artistic journey that was filled with flora and fauna and supernatural creatures. All of Hokusai’s works explore his personal beliefs and give insight into his artistic drive from his later years.
The exhibition will be held at the British Museum in London from May 25th to August 13th.
