The Pace Gallery sets up an exhibition of David Hockney’s new works called ‘Something New In Painting (and Photography) [ and even Printing]’.

The Pace Gallery will be setting up an exhibition featuring 18 new works by David Hockney called ‘Something New In Painting (and Photography) [ and even Printing]’. This collection of works was mostly painted on hexagonal canvases and drew inspiration from Hockney’s homes in the Hollywood Hills, the Grand Canyon and east Yorkshire.

‘Something New In Painting (and Photography) [ and even Printing]’ will also be displaying two large scaled photographs that have been digitally altered. These photographs are based off of Hockey’s earlier collage made of polaroids and multi screen videos. Which was based off combining the images to create multiple perceptive to offer and alternative conception of space.

Hockney is known for producing some of the most recognizable art of this century and has had retrospectives of his work at many renowned galleries across the world including the Tate, and the MoMA.

‘Something New In Painting (and Photography) [ and even Printing]’ will be on display at the Pace Gallery from 5th of April to 12 of May 2018
