My Head is Disconnected.
In Manchester this July, David Lynch shows his artistic dynamism yet again with a large-scale multimedia retrospective. While many know him for his acting on shows like Twin Peaks or classics like Blue Velvet, Lynch is also a successful visual artist. This exhibition will show case over 60 paintings, drawings and sculptures, produced during 50 years of participating in the creative community. My Head is Disconnected is curated by mixed group of talented professionals; Sarah Perks, artistic director of Home, Omar Kholief (previous curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago), DJ Mary Anne Hobbs, and comedian Jason Wood. Four sections of the show will focus on different aspects of Lynches work; dystopian landscapes, the mind, labour and industry and Manchester’s history.
