Pitti Immagine Uomo is one of the biggest international events for men’s fashion. Since 1989, Pitti Uomo has hosted tradeshows that showcase up and coming, as well as established designers in men’s wear. Florence, Italy is the beautiful backdrop that hosts this tradeshow, which has been a fashion stronghold for centuries. Givenchy announced that it will be one of the guest designers for the SS20 collection last week. One of the main attractions will be an exhibition, 1989-2019: Thirty Years of Men’s Fashion, which will offer a retrospective of past exhibitions and brands that have been a part of the tradeshow since its beginning. It will open on June 11th, and will stay up until September. Favourite looks from the exhibition will be donated to the city’s Museum of Fashion and Costumes after the show comes down. Raf Simons, Craig Green, JW Anderson, Rick Owens, Maison Martin Margiela, Moschino, Versace, and Vivienne Westwood are just a few of the names on the growing lists of fashion houses that are joining the show.
