The Broad museum is planning to release tickets for the highly anticipated exhibition “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors,” opening October 21st. Rather then releasing advanced tickets month to month as The Broad has done in the past, the museum will release all tickets at once- around 50,000 for the entire exhibition at noon on September 1st.
This show is meant to be the most popular event since the Broad opened in 2015, and is expected to sell out quickly. The Broad homes Kusama’s “Infinity Mirrored Room — The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away” as a permanent collection and it is the single most popular attraction for the gallery.
The upcoming Kusama exhibition showcases six “infinity” kaleidoscopic styled mirrored rooms, as well as paintings, sculptures and works on paper. The exhibition originally debuted at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C then traveled to the Seattle Art Museum then on to LA.
Advanced tickets for the exhibition will be available at www.thebroad.org. “Yayoi
Kusama: Infinity Mirrors,” will be showing through to January 1st at The Broad museum in LA.
