    David Hockney ‘A Bigger Book.’

A sumo-size visual autobiography of the legendary british Artist published by Taschen.

British artist David Hockney, known for his vibrant work and most notably his contribution to the 1960s Pop Art movement, has created ‘A Bigger Book’, a 500-page tome that spans the artist’s entire career.

Hockney says the book is his “definitive visual autobiography”, curating his works from Bradford School of Art, to his iconic paintings from the 60s and 70s, collages, stage designs, photography and video pieces, right through to his more recent iPad drawings. The artist collaborated very closely on the production of the sumo-size book, carefully selecting over 450 works.

‘A Bigger Book’, published by Taschen, is a limited edition of 10,000 copies, each signed by the artist who turns 80 next year. This will be celebrated with a major retrospective at the Tate in London due to open February 2, 2017.
