“Firm”.
Daniel Salemi explores urban architecture in “Firm”.
New York-based photographer Daniel Salemi captures New York architecture and office space in unique contexts, taken without the artist’s feet ever touching ground. The viewer is given partial grabs of buildings, lonely geometric interiors and swathes of negative space – plenty of contextual holes to fill. His pictures show architecture in its purest form, devoid of humans, existing outside a cultural framework – they could have been taken anywhere. The result is a surreal journey through characterless urban space – a meditative look at human-made structures without humans, out of purpose.
