In the spring of 2018, Publisher TIS books and Photographer Rose Marie Cromwell will be debuting her newest photo book which was inspired by Cuba. The book is called El Libro Supremo de la Suerte, which directly translates to “The Supreme Book of Luck”. The title refers to a historical samizdat that supports a small operations lottery in Havana Cuba.
Cromwell is from the USA but spent eight years living and photographing Havana's culture. Cromwell’s mission was to explore the visual connections between numbers and the mystical ideologies that embody the nations views on luck. Cromwell used her passion for photography showcase her mission from many angles like street style, spirituality, or politics; using her friends and family as subjects and inspirations.
