Michael on the Wall.
From November 23rd, 2018 to February 17th, 2019, an exhibition featuring over 40 artists who have been inspired by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, will show at the Grand Palais in Paris. The exhibition, tentatively titled Michael Jackson: On the Wall, will be devoted to demonstrating the ways in which the musician’s song, dance, and choreography influenced the artistic world far beyond the music industry. Artists such as Andy Warhol, Isaac Julien, and Rashid Johnson, created installations, sculpture, and paintings that have been inspired by the spirit that Michael Jackson iconized throughout his lifetime. Glamourous, talented, and innovative – the artist life is celebrated in chronological order as you walk through the exhibit, to follow his transformation from a young boy in the spotlight, to the global popstar that he became. This tour will start in Paris, but will travel throughout Europe – you may be able to catch it in Bonn, Germany, or in London’s National Portrait Gallery.
